History

Founded in 1987, WTI calls Tuscaloosa, Alabama home. Located 55 miles southwest of Birmingham, Tuscaloosa is a vibrant city home to many of the nation's leading manufacturing companies. In addition to being a center for commerce, culture and the University of Alabama, the city maintains a sense of community that makes WTI proud to be a part of. A city that has kept up with the changing economy and continues to provide for our citizens by providing growth and stability to our area.

WTI is a flatbed carrier servicing primarily the Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and East Coast. Our main shipments consist of roofing, building materials, and all types of iron and steel products. WTI is proud to be a major carrier in the flatbed industry . Our focus is on making sure our customers are taken care of by providing the “Absolute Best Service.”

Over 20 years, WTI has built long standing relationships with many of the nation’s leading manufactures. Relationships that have been built on “Doing What We Say We’ll Do”. Delivering their freight safe and on-time, by a driver force that is professional and understands the importance of customer service.

Dedicated to top-flight service and professionalism, WTI Transport has seen its commitment pay off. The company has grown from a small 40-truck operation in the 1980s to over 250 power units today. WTI has thrived much like the city it is proud to call home.
