| Founded
in 1987, WTI Transport calls Tuscaloosa, Alabama
home. Located 55 miles southwest of Birmingham,
Tuscaloosa is a vibrant city home to many of the
nation’s leading manufacturing companies.
In addition to being a center for commerce, culture
and education, the city maintains a sense of community
that makes WTI proud to be part of it.
“This was the perfect
location to start a flatbed trucking company.
Tuscaloosa is home to many of the nation’s
major manufacturing centers while being close
enough to serve the thriving iron and steel industry
located in Birmingham. On top of that, it is a
great community in which to raise a family. The
importance of family and sense of togetherness
make it natural for everyone in our company to
be a part of the WTI family,” said Steven
Rumsey company founder and CEO.
Dedicated to top-flight
service and professionalism, WTI Transport has
seen its commitment pay off. The company has grown
from a small 40-truck operation in the 1980s to
over 250 power units today. WTI has thrived much
like the city it is proud to call home.
